Comparison

myone.page vs Gamma

Gamma generates designed presentations and documents with AI. myone.page turns an Obsidian note into a one-page report that people edit in the browser while it stays in your vault. They overlap less than it seems; here is who each suits.

Both tools turn rough material into something that looks finished. The difference is where the result lives. Gamma makes a new thing in Gamma: a deck, a document or a web page, designed for you by AI. myone.page makes no new thing: the page is your Obsidian note, rendered and shared, and edits to the page are edits to the note.

What Gamma does well

Gamma is the faster way from nothing to a good-looking deck. Type a prompt or paste an outline and it proposes a structure, writes the cards, picks a layout and adds images. You can present it, share it as a link, or export it to PowerPoint or PDF for people who want a file. Collaborators can view, comment or edit. If your output is a pitch deck, a sales presentation, a workshop or anything you will stand up and present, it is built for that, and myone.page is not.

Gamma's AI is part of the product, metered in credits. The free plan gives a one-time batch; paid plans add monthly credits and remove Gamma branding. Third-party price trackers disagree on current prices and credit amounts, which changed during 2026, so check gamma.app/pricing before you decide.

Where Gamma is a poor fit

If you already wrote the content in Obsidian, Gamma means writing it a second time somewhere else. You can paste or upload your note, and Gamma will restyle it, but from then on there are two versions: the Gamma your team comments on and the note in your vault. We found no Markdown export as of October 2026 (it is a standing feature request on Gamma's ideas board), so changes do not come back. Next month's update starts from the Gamma, not from your notes, and anything that reads your vault, such as Claude Code, sees the old version.

What myone.page does

myone.page is a free Obsidian plugin. Add myone.page: true to a note and it opens as a styled one-page report you can edit in place. Its blocks are written in plain Markdown with a few callouts: stat tiles, cards, funnels, tables with coloured status labels, pie and bar charts, and Gantt timelines. Click share and the note becomes a link; the people you list sign in and edit in the browser, and their edits are back in your note within about a minute. Pages are end-to-end encrypted.

AI is optional and not metered: Make a page with AI copies a request for any chat, the free Claude skill teaches Claude the format, and coding agents write the note directly in your vault. See myone.page/ai, or the guide to writing a one-pager with ChatGPT or Claude.

Where myone.page is narrower

The same task in each

Say you have a monthly investor update in your notes: four numbers, highlights, lowlights, three asks.

In Gamma, you paste the notes or upload the file and generate. You get a designed document or deck in a minute or two, adjust the cards, and share a link with view or comment access. Next month you duplicate it and edit the numbers in Gamma, or generate again from new notes.

In myone.page, you start the note from the investor update template (or have an AI chat fill it from your notes), and it renders as a page with stat tiles, cards and a goals table. You share the link with your investors. Next month you copy the note in your vault and change the numbers; the old month stays a note you can link to.

Who each suits better

Some people use both: the monthly investor update as a myone.page note, the fundraising deck in Gamma. If the alternative you are weighing is a team workspace, see myone.page vs Notion.

To try myone.page, install the free plugin and start from a template such as the investor update or the one-page report.

Questions

Is myone.page a Gamma alternative?

For one-page reports, updates and briefs written in Obsidian, yes. For presentations you deliver live, or designed decks generated from a prompt, no: Gamma is built for that and myone.page does not make slides.

How much does Gamma cost?

Gamma has a free plan with a one-time allowance of AI credits. Its paid plans are priced per seat; third-party trackers list Plus at about $8 to $12 a month depending on billing and date, with higher Pro and Ultra tiers. Check gamma.app/pricing for current prices.

Can I import Markdown into Gamma?

Yes. Gamma accepts pasted text and uploaded files, including .md, and generates from them. We found no Markdown export as of October 2026; exports are formats such as PDF and PowerPoint, so the result does not go back into your notes.

Can people edit a Gamma I share?

Yes. Gamma's sharing settings offer view, comment and edit access, and a password option on Pro. Their edits stay in Gamma.

Turn your next note into a page

Write in Obsidian as you do now. The free plugin shows the note as a page with stats, tables and charts, and shares it as a link your team can edit in the browser; their edits come back to the note.
